I ordered this bed in Medium to give my miniature American Eskimo puppy room to stretch out once she grows up. I had previously bought her two cheaper polyester fleece beds, both of which she managed to tear apart.

When this bed arrived, she did her best to chew through it, but the heavy duty canvas is resistant to her efforts. You can tell it's high quality, and it washes and dries well. I love being able to remove the cover completely from the stuffing components.

The only problem is that despite using heavy cotton canvas with reinforced stitching, this bed uses a cheap plastic coil zipper. Once my 8-lb puppy exhausted herself trying to chew through the canvas, she simply ripped the zipper open and chewed it to pieces. Unable to repair it, I removed it and replaced it with a heavy-duty zipper and now it is fine. For the price of this bed, I wish it had had a more durable or hidden zipper--my 4 month-old puppy is not considered a particularly strong or heavy chewer!

If you do have a puppy who is a large breed or a heavy chewer, watch out for the zipper. Other than that, this bed seems very durable, and I expect it to last for years to come.
