SIZING
Heart Dog Pet ID Tag - Product Sizing

How to find a lost pet:

1. Search your property thoroughly - small animal scan find small hiding spots
2. Walk the neighborhood, talk to everybody, and leave your phone number
3. Make some noise while you walk around the neighborhood - animals have great hearing and know the voices of their owners
4. Bring a powerful flashlight - this is valuable even in the daylight as a lost and scared animal will often find a small and dark hiding spot
5. Place strong-scented articles outside your home to attract your pet - animals know your scent, so don't be afraid to use things like sweaty gym socks, dog bedding, etc...
6. Call local veterinarian offices during the day. After 5 PM, call veterinarian emergency clinics
7. VISIT your local Animal Control, humane societies, and animal shelters
8. Ask Animal Control, humane societies, and shelters about pet rescue organizations in your area
9. Post as many flyers as you can within a 1 mile radius of your home
10. Place an Ad in your local newspaper
11. Check the newspaper "found" ads every day
12. DONT GIVE UP - Pets have been known to be found months or even years after they are lost

Looks great on my German Shepard. Just wish the postage wasn't so expensive.

  4. VERY HAPPY!

Posted by JO on 05/27/14 6:18 PM

I order "Dog Tag" hearts for our running team for each major event we enter. This was the first time I ordered from HotDog and am so happy I did. They had the most color choices and engraved on both sides of the tag which was great. There was some confusion on the font size which the company helped clear up for me beautifully. I see complaints about the O-ring, that has been an issue with all 4 of the companies I have ordered from before. I will be ordering our future hearts from them in the future.

  5. CUTE, BUT HARD TO PUT ON

Posted by Unknown on 04/22/14 8:58 AM

This tag is super cute! The writing is clear and easy to read. It looks fabulous on her collar. My only problem was getting it on her collar. The hole near the part where the heart comes down almost broke when I was trying to get the tag on the ring that you hook on the collar. This might be different on a tag that is not heart-shaped.

I see below that others had the same problem. Maybe they could attach the ring before shipping (so the company could have the joy of wrestling with the ring and almost breaking the hole!). I might buy this again, but I would definitely use pliers to put on the ring.

  6. THIN TAG

Posted by LURA on 03/14/14 8:58 AM

I ordered the large pet tag and although I liked the size of it the metal is very thin and the hole to attach it is too close to the engraving. The tag almost broke after trying several times to attach it to my dog's collar.

  7. CHEAP, BUT IT'LL DO

Posted by Unknown on 03/12/14 3:09 PM

The tag is so, so thin that I was worried about breaking it while fighting to get it on the O-ring that comes with it. I managed to not break it, but I'm not sure I would order this particular tag again.

  8. Nice tag

Posted by Unknown on 03/05/14 8:00 AM

The tag is fine for a large dog. However, the rings they give you to go on the large tag is impossible to get over any large ring on a large collar. So I had to use my own which was a hassle to find.
