San Francisco is home to the San Francisco Giants winners of baseball?s 2010 World Series. Not just a home to baseball the city is also home to two other major sports teams the San Francisco 49ers and the Golden State Warriors. The San Francisco Giants originally a New York sports team moved to their present home in 1957. The San Francisco 49ers joined the NFL in 1950 and was their first league to win five Super Bowl Championships. The 49ers are the oldest major league sports team in California. Originally from Philadelphia and known as the Philadelphia Warriors the Golden State Warriors relocated to San Francisco in 1962. The team is sixth in number of NBA championships.
