MLB Baseball - Philadelphia PhilliesPhiladelphia the sixth largest city in the United States is rich and history as the place where the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were drafted and signed and the adopted home to American leaders including Benjamin Franklin. In Philadelphia these are the Eagles for football the 76ers for basketball the Flyers for hockey and the Phillies for baseball.

They won their first pennant in 1915 with the help of baseball greats Grover Cleveland Alexander and Gavvy Cravath.
The team playing at Citizens Bank Park in South Philadelphia since 2004 has earned two World Series titles to date. The first came nearly a century after the team was founded in 1980 against Kansas City. The team won another World Series title in 2008 against Tampa Bay.
