  • We reviewed the "nameplate" version of the Brutus collar in September....We like the full spiked version even better because of the slightly rounder fit and better conformity to his neck. Both are great collars, though, and exhibit quality and excellent style. Besides the obvious nameplate difference...the stitching is less pronounced on the full Brutus collar. If you have a large guard dog type breed like a Mastiff or Rottweiler then you will appreciate the way this collar accentuates their impressive physique, not to mention the fact that in the unfortunate event your pet gets into an altercation with a stray dog while defending the homestead then he or she will have the added benefit of thick leather and stainless steel studs protecting a vital part of their body (we have an unusual number of stray Pit bulls and mutts roaming the neighborhood lately and even at 8 months old Tony will not let them near our property or our children) So along with the good looks and durability of the Brutus collar, you also get a certain degree of functionality from this product.
    Pros: Attractive, Workmanship, Durable
    Cons: None
    Best Uses: Protective, Large breed Puppies, Everyday, Larger Dogs, Intimidation Factor
